Pres. Obama: The Poetry in the Poetry!!!
Wow…
Does this stuff get any more exciting or what??? It has been one week since Pres. Obama took the oath of office and the atmosphere is still buzzing… Mr. Obama has not disappointed US(A) in his first seven days… He came out of the gate sprinting… I am sure that “we the people” are encouraged at the possibilities that are possible with this administration… I am full of hope that not only will this be an historical presidency but (first big but in the room) it will be the best presidency in history…
Wow… Ain’t this some good stuff…
I have received many request to comment on the inaugural poem by Ms Elizabeth Alexander… As a “Urban Spoken Word Artist,” which is a totally different genre of poetry in respect to this piece of poetry, I will trod cautiously… First of all, I have researched this artist previous work and found her to be very entertaining… All her work has the same style as the inaugural poem; maybe a little less choppy, but the same… I have relistened to the poem more than once to really concentrate on the words; it is a deep piece that charts a path from then until now… I was delighted at the historical undertones and it’s ancestrial vibe insertions… So for the most part, she delivered exactly what she was asked to deliver; a piece of her mind…
It is the “poetry in the poetry” that most people missed and that is a sad story… It only proves that “we as a nation” have lost our “humanities!!!” “Culturally Speaking,” we are “culturally deficient…” This is why it is so important that “we as a nation,” with the leadership of Mr. Pres., must return unto our first love… Our love of the humanities and all the fullfillment they bring to us as a global people… Yes, our time has come and it is up to us to use it wisely… It is the romantics that openned the minds of great leaders like Napoleon, Alexander the Great, and even Patton; to name a few… All great leaders have an intimate kinship with the humanities… I believe this is the thread needed to do the mending that is much needed for us to be whole again as a nation…
Wow… Good stuff, Huh???
Well let me say to Mr. President Barack Obama; it’s been a long time coming but (big phat change but in the room) it’s time has come…
To that I say, “Halleluiah!!!”

World famous runners will tell you the first rule of
track:
Which is you can’t win a race if you’re looking back.
You can ‘t win a race if you are not focused and
disciplined,
You can’t get to Heaven if you continue to sin.
You can’t win a race if you don’t sweep around you own front door,
You can’t win a race if you are always finger pointing and taking score.
Just take a note from President Obama’s 2008 campaign,
You will see that he never looked back and refrained,
From dousing his opponents with equal doses of venom,
He just relied on the intelligence and talent within
him.
He didn’t wince when they called him a rock star and
inexperienced,
That is why they have been calling him commander in
chief ever since!
You can’t win a race by playing the race card,
You can’t win a race by being a cartoon drawing
retard!
So my friends if you have learned anything today:
It is that you certainly can’t win a race if you are
looking back,
World class runners will tell you that it’s the
first rule of track.
(P.S) Moderator, don’t you mean that he is pro choice?
