“Fuel Cost is Defining our Culture!”

Fuel cost is only getting higher and it seems that there is no end in sight…
Fuel cost is defining our culture… In less than seven years we have gone from an American life style that the world envied to a Nation looked at with less esteem… There are several reasons why but the most obvious is that the average American cannot afford to live the American dream… And if we serious analyze the problem it boils down to the cost at the pump…

When fuel prices were reasonable, we could afford the nice car, house, and weekend get aways… But with fuel cost shyrocketing then compound that with a weak dollar and the final result is mere “Survival!”

America is in “Survival mode…”

The average American can not longer afford a saving account because it takes everything we make just to live… Our children are more and more depressed… Our neighborhoods are falling apart… And quite frankly, our local government can’t do anything because they are also feeling the pinch…

So, what is a country without “Culture???”
I looked around my community and all the resturants; big and small are closing or have already closed down… I asked a small restaurant owner a while back how had he made it in the past when things got tight??? He looked me straight in the eye and said, “things aren’t tight, things are gone!” He said, the people that use to frequent his restaurant, from the homeless guy buying a sandwich to the lunch crowd to the family friday night out folks are all gone… They can’t afford to eat out any more… This is our “Culture” going down the drain because of the choices we are forced to make due to the high cost of fuel…

I also asked a hotel manager why was the hotels in the area going out of business… The same reason… No weekend get aways, therefore no hotel traffic… Unless that hotel belongs to a big chain, it is in jeopardy… I have also observed churches that are forced to close their doors because a lack of funds to operate…
So you see, our culture is being distroyed because our fuel prices are going higher and higher with no ceiling in sight…

Now, I am not an economist or business strategist but I am a concerned citizen consumer… And it does not take an economist or a business strategist to help me read the hand writing on the wall… If we as a nation, don’t get a strong grip on fuel cost we are going to “Culturalless!”

Now why is this important???

“Culture” sustains a Nation when all else is gone…
“Culture” is the air a Nation breaths…
“Culture” is our identity!!!
“Culture” is the wind the blow across the waves that echo to the rest of the world of our existence on the planet…

It is “Culture” that let’s us know we are alive and well…

So fuel cost are stifling our society causing us to lose our “Culture” as a Nation…
If this trend continues we will all be living in RVs… We will be known as the “RV Culture…” This will be the only way to live closer to the work and the grocery store in order to survive… We will have satelite RV camps springing up near every major employer, school, grocery store and the like…

I know I am painting a grim picture, but this is what happens when “Culture” is lost in a society…

Utter ruin…

Fuel cost effects everyone and everything in our society… From bread and butter to guns and ammo!!! On the home front and abroard, we are effected by fuel cost…
So do we merely survive or do we strive???
This is the choice we as a people must make…

And I can assure you that the candidate who looks over this fact will not be the choice of the American people…
It was the economy once and it is the economy again, “Stupid!!!”
