“McCain: Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda Eight years ago!!!”

WOw…
Does this stuff get any better than this???
As I sat and watched the Reps do their thang, I was struck by the wonderful accolades spoken of McCain… As a prior military army officer, I was greatly moved by the very graphic descriptions of what McCain had suffered doing his captivity in the Viet Nam war… I believe this spoke volumes about a man that shoulda, coulda, woulda eight years ago; but (Now there’s that but in the room again) he didn’t… The why does not matter, it remains that J-Mc could not beat George W Bush; which means that John McCain’s time has come and gone… This man that the “Reps” so proudly trumpeted tonight is a man who’s time has come and gone… I have a friend who is a CW-4 in the army… This man has 42 years of service and at 62 is being forced to retire… This man’s time has come… This man is 10 years younger than J-Mc… If this man is not suited to serve his nation in his position because his time has come then why would one think that J-Mc should be given the Job of President of the United States of America…
I am not hating, just making an observation…
The Presidency is an office that requires not only stamina, and sharpness of mind; but it also requires that one is conscious long hours… I have another friend who is 67, who also served in the Viet Nam war, who tells me all the time how the effects of age has changed his life… This man worked in construction for several decades before retiring at 62, because his time had come… As he put it, he was tired… His energy level was not the same and he could not keep up with the his peers…
But you don’t have to agree with me but you must admit that age does effect people’s ability to make quick responsible decisions and maintain the stamina to exercise the duties of the office McCain is embarking upon…
Now culturally, our country says that we don’t age discriminate…But (now there’s that but again)age has a way of discriminating against us as time passes, we only have the elderly to witness to this truth… I am sure J-Mc is a nice guy, but this is not the time for a nice old guy who seems to have always had a chip on his shoulder trying to up the legacy of his father and grandfather… J-Mc seems to be more into what things look like instead of what things are like… One need only look at the person J-Mc chose for his running mate… Nothing personal against this person’s gender but it is hard to see how a pretty face trumps the likes of a Ms Rice or for that matter several other more seasoned women in the Reps side of the house…
If this is about Judgment, I believe that J-Mc has a serious judgment issue… This gives credence to the fears that many have that J-Mc.jeckle will turn into J-Mc.Hyde and thrust us into another era senseless wars we can neither afford physically as well as culturally… The one thing I believe George Bush never considered before going into war against Iraq is “The Culture Factor” which is spelled out in our Old Testament… The Iraqi people live by archaic laws that are centuries old, which demands that the death a family member killed by another must be vindicated by a relative… I believe the Iranians are the same as well all Muslim nations… We are culturally out numbered as a nation when it comes to Muslims who hate us… So it is time for peace and reconciliation… We can repair the damage if we start now…
Get the picture???
I hope so…
Now there are other cultural issues that I must point out about the Reps Convention… First of course it is the race issue… The contrast of the “Dems” convention vs the “Reps” is as obvious as the pastie picture we see on the net… It did not matter where the camera spanned doing the “Dems” convention one saw a fairly accurate depiction of our America… During the “Reps” convention regardless in what direction the camera spanned one could only see one color who gave the “Reps” an elitist image… Secondly, there was an obvious descripency between the ages… At the “Dems” convention the ages were more around the working class demographic. But (big black but in the room) at the “Reps”convention, mostly retired and soon retired… Very few young people showed up at the “Reps” convention…
Why is this???
Is it because the youth are the one that have to live with the decisions Bush has made and don’t want four more years of the same…
Hmmmmmmm!!!
Thirdly and most importantly, what up with the music or the lack there of…
Need I say more???
Didnt think so…
Wow…
Exciting stuff???
You know I like to keep things exciting…
So check this…
How is it that the “Reps” are using the “Mantra: America First!”
If one likes at the state of our nation one must ask what america they are talking about… Someone brought it to my attention that not only were they talking about putting their country first, they negated the all the people of color that has put their country first first… Lets just say that the “Reps” really don’t care much for black people, but I did not see many of any other minority there either… I am as American as apple pie… Like most the people of color I know are prior military, hard working, and law abiding citizens… Why is it such a big difference in these two conventions??? I don’t know but ( another big but in the room) I am sure of one thing, the future of this present generation hinge on the vote cast in November…

I say so…

  1. Wonderful post! I hope you don’t mind, but I emailed this to one of my travel team colleagues that is, yet, overseas.

I did a post this morning titles…An Interestion “Vetting” Comparison. This is a true event regarding my husband. He was vetted for a full six months…just to work for the Dept of Energy. Something is seriously wrong with the (lack of) “vetting” of Palin 😦

I look forward to visiting your site often.

    Kindest Regards,

    Michelle
