“What does ‘Flip Flops’ have to do with an “Etch-a-Sketch???'”

Wow…
This is some exciting stuff so let’s get right at it…
Some of you might remember the post I wrote in 2008 entitled, “What does ‘Flip Flops’ have to do with a ‘Wedgie???'” I also wrote a book by the same title in 2009… Both of them speak of that historical democratic process which happened over three years ago that resulted in the Barack Obama presidency… Now we are on the eve of another historical democratic process in which I hope will give Pres. Obama four more years to finish the work he has started… So let me preface this post by saying, “What does ‘Flip Flops’ have to do with an ‘Etch-a-Sketch…'”

Wow…

Now most of US(a) remember the ‘Etch-a-Sketch’ as a childhood toy which was a guaranteed gift under the tree for many a Christmases… I always remember them being read in color with white knobs and of course, a grey screen… I can remember playing with them for hours and hours trying to create this master piece and as fate would have it, I would always trip, while wearing my ‘Flip Flops’ and drop it… Darn… There it  goes – back to square one… That was always a disaster… It never seemed to partially erase – always a total start over… Well you know what always happened then, you were too tired and disgusted with the darn  ‘Etch-a-Sketch’ that you threw it aside as you walked over to the frig in your ‘Flip Flops’ to get a big glass of ice tea… Wow…  Of course you were  very careful to adjust your ‘Flip Flops’ because you sure as hell didn’t want to spill your tea on that darn ‘Etch-a-Sketch’ which had  completely  erased any remnants of the masterpiece you had just created…

“So what does ‘Flip Flops’ have to do with an ‘Etch-a-Sketch???'”

Wow… Let me say, the Reps are headed for an ‘Etch-a-Sketch’ convention comes  August… At the rate they are going, no one candidate will have enough delegates to take the outright win… This will leave everything wide open  for a brokered convention which means, yes you got it – a start-over… Remember when I said earlier in this post that after I tripped over my ‘Flip Flops’ and I dropped the ‘Etch-a-Sketch’ that I was too tired and disgusted with the whole thing therefore  I threw it aside and then went to the Frig to get some ice tea???  I sure hope all the news outlets have plenty of ice tea, because you are going to need it…   This has been a really lack-luster Reps race so far and the future doen’t show any promise of anything other than the same…

Wow…

Maybe a start-over for the Reps is exactly what is needed… I must mention something here that is really disgusting to me and that is the way the Reps candidates have been so insensitive to the Trayvon Martin case…   They had the nerve to say they did not believe  that Pres. Obama should have made a comment about it…  http://www.suntimes.com/news/11484426-418/trayvon-martins-death-personal-to-president-barack-obama.html    Let me say that this proves to me that these guys are so out of touch with the real world that a total ‘start over’ might be warranted…   Pres. Obama, a former community leader,  understands that what affects a community, state, and/or  nation the way this case has America warrants a response from the highest Office in the land… Anyone who believes they have what it takes to be President of these United States must understand that we all have a voice and demand to be heard… The Republic is of the people and the people; black, brown, red, yellow, and white are shouting out in one loud voice from coast-to-coast for justice… My prayers go out to the Martin family and to all the families who have lost a child to this kind of injustice…  I also hope that this bring about a dialogue about race which will have the effects the injust killing of the three Civil Rights activist did in the 1964…

I relate the Trayvon case to the three civil rights workers killed June of 1964 in Mississippi…   Then Pres. Johnson spoke to the matter and launched a federal investigation to bring about justice for  these three young  men… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mississippi_civil_rights_workers_murders   I am sure there were many detractor who believed that Pres. Johnson should not have stuck his nose into a southern state matter, but the outcry was too great for even him to ignore… I believe that Pres. Obama did the right thing to speak out and take the actions that he has, because the outcry for justice around the country is so great…

Wow…

Culturally Speaking, Americans feel the same hurt when a child in involved in a violent act of injustice… Even now in the news, we have a soldier who supposedly snapped then went out and killed men, women, and children… Americans are outraged that this man did these horrible things especially the fact that he killed helpless, defenseless children… Therefore if we can be outraged at the injustice perpetrated to children from another country doesn’t it stand to reason that we should be more outraged at an act of injustice perpetrated against one of our own…   To the Reps candidates I ask where is your humanity???   So was Pres. Johnson wrong when he launched a federal investigating into the killing of three civil rights activists in Mississippi decades ago??? I dare say not…   To me this truly show these guys lack of judgement and insensitive to the plight of the average American citizen…

Wow…

“What does ‘Flip Flops’ have to do with an ‘Etch-a-Sketch;’ flip-flops you can adjust but (first big phat grey screen debacle but in the room) an etch-a-sketch debacle you can’t undo, you must ‘start over…'”

“Feel me???”

“I know you do…”

Wow… Now y’all know I like to keep it interesting, so here goes… I believe that Pres. Obama should continue to hit the Reps candidate with those ‘tit-for-tat’ sucker punches that has been so effective at doing  from the beginning of this political season… He has taken away from them every piece of ammo that they thought they had in their arsenal… The pipeline approval is a really good example of a sucker punch the Reps should have seen coming… They should have known that Pres. Obama was going to approve some or all of that thing in the first place… So what do the Reps have to stand on??? Oh yeah, ‘Etch-a-Sketch’ politics… Now if Pres. Obama wants to hit them with the biggest sucker punch ever, he should go back to Iraq and fulfill, then Pres. George Bush’s promise to pay for the Iraqi war with Iraqi Oil… Based on that fact alone,  we are probably entitled to enough oil to keep prices below $2.00 per gallon for decades…

Wow…

Let me hear you say, ‘Yes, yes, yes we can…’
